IKEA Trip Booked!

Scott and I are a little crazy in that we both adore scheduling/planning our time.  We've finally settled on a time to hit IKEA to buy some bedroom furniture (thank you Mom, Dad, and Rachel!).  It's not until November 28th, but it's officially on the calendar!  I'm very excited.

I can't wait to finally have a bed that's not just a mattress on the floor...  It's the little things, you know?

The Countdown

Hello, 

Scott and I are both in the studio working today on this rainy Sunday.  We're going to take our lunch hour and continue to plan out our trip to Vietnam.  We have booked a hotel for the first two nights, but the rest of the itinerary is still up in the air.  One thing I'd love to do is hit the beach for a few days - how nice does that sound??

We'll keep you updated as progress is made!  Again, suggestions are VERY welcome.

We're so grown up

Scott and I have spent the morning going over paperwork to bring to an estate planning attorney on Wednesday.  Not exciting, but thought you may appreciate how "mature" we are. :)

Patsy and Paul have arrived

Scott's mum and dad have made it safely to Richmond for a week's visit.  They are heading off to see Emma, Lee and Claudia in Calgary next week and then back to Richmond later this month.  

Patsy was up bright and early this AM making soup while Paul enjoyed a cup of tea on the porch.  We're all heading out to the farmer's market in about an hour and then to work in the yard for the afternoon.

We're back, and HITCHED!

Helllooooo!  We're back from Sonoma/Napa and trying to get caught up. Scott insisted that we not take our computers while on vacation, so we're a little late updating the website with pictures and stories.

A quick update: the trip was great.  The wedding was simple and stress-free.  The rest of the time was spent enjoying the beautiful California scenery: vineyards, redwood forests, and the coast, and drinking great wine.  

We made it safely back home on Wednesday evening and we're still trying to get caught up on sleep - jetlag + a really late flight + road construction on 95 between DC and Richmond made for a late night.  Otherwise, we're great.  Glad to be home and enjoying the beginning of our marriage in our home together.  

I thought I'd put up this one picture from the wedding day.  There are TONS more to come, promise!

The business has taken us to different coasts this evening.  We purchased those JetBlue tickets - the ones were you can fly anywhere in the US during the month of September for $600.  Well, we're putting them to good use.  Scott was in 4 cities in 4 days last week and I'm in L.A. and then Pittsburgh this week.  Phew.

Phew.  We've been working on the website since 8:00 this AM.  It's now 2:30PM.  I'm about to head outside to work in the yard for a few hours.  Hopefully, Scott will be close behind.  I'd hate for him to miss this beautiful day outside.

As for the website, I'm still working on the "celebration" page (no kidding, right?) - getting the information filled in and links updated.  I'll come back to it later this week while Scott's traveling for business.  Until then...
